Literacy Roots
Specialized Reading Instruction &
Dyslexia Intervention
Every Great Reader Starts With Strong Roots
Early, targeted intervention can change a child’s academic trajectory. With appropriate instruction, all students can meet challenges, be successful, and thrive.
My name is Rebekah Gagne. I am a reading specialist based on Long Island. Using the Orton-Gillingham method, I offer intensive, prescriptive literacy interventions for children in grades 1 through 6.
Each structured, multi-sensory lesson is individualized to meet your child’s unique needs — especially if your son or daughter is struggling with decoding, fluency, and comprehension due to dyslexia or other language-based learning challenges.
Students are supported in a warm, caring environment in which they feel empowered to take risks and experience the joy of learning. I have a deep passion for supporting young readers — not just in my classrooms, but also at home.
My daughter has dyslexia; this is a journey my family has traveled nightly when doing homework at the kitchen table. That’s why I tailor each lesson to ensure that children gain essential skills while building confidence as readers.
